| “The Sand Section Beauty” |
Welcome to this gorgeous Cape Cod Traditional Home. This spacious 4000 square foot, 5 bedroom 6 bath home is located in the prime Sand Section area of Manhattan Beach just blocks from the beach. Built in 2000 by Mike Woodcock and architect Joyce Flood+ Associates, this 40x100 lot is larger than typical area homes and boasts many top notch amenities including a backyard. The entry of this home is grand, light and welcoming with its high ceiling entrance and wall of windows.
The focus of the completely re-designed home by Lucas Studio, Inc and Matt O'Dorisio is beachy comfort with traditional styling focused on the owner's love of family, friends and entertaining. Throughout the home, new soothing paint colors adorn the walls, custom cabinetry, wainscoting, molding and oversized doors. The wood floors were stained a richer darker hue to offset the lighter airier feel of the new furniture and finishings. Fabrics and layouts were carefully considered for entertaining and being kid friendly.
Upstairs you will find the children's rooms to be bold, energetic, colorful and clearly able to transition stylistically into their teenage years. The master bedroom is a soothing relaxing retreat created to rejuvenate and unwind at the end of the day. The light and whimsical color palette helps to achieve this goal along with the seating area flanked around the cozy fireplace which flows into the open blissful spa-like bathroom.
The family rooms french doors open to an amazing new backyard designed by JDS Landscape. Gorgeous Pennsylvania Blue Flagstone and High Desert Stacked Stone compliment the Cape Cod styling of the home. On warm evenings, guests can gather for gourmet dinners around the outdoor dining area. On cooler evenings, relaxing on the seated lounge area around the custom fire pit or taking a dip in the drop down stone jacuzzi will keep them warm and toasty.
The homeowners have perfectly captured their values and lifestyle in this beautifully designed traditional and comfortable home that radiates warmth and elegance.
