Directors

What a pleasure it is to represent Sandpipers as the Director of Community Service.  From the moment our organization started, it has been our goal to extend a helping hand to our neighbors in need.  As I continue my sixth year of volunteering in the South Bay, my goal is to educate our membership, our partnering agencies and the South Bay community as to how we can help by donating our time and energy to individuals.  We show our support in many wonderful ways by providing something as small as a snack or pulling together as an entire organization to restructure a playground for homeless children.  Please contact me to answer questions or to learn how to volunteer your time.

I have had the pleasure of being a part of Sandpipers since 2003.  It feels great to be part of an organization which services the community where I have spent my entire life.  I have had the opportunity to participate in many of our programs and have really enjoyed the Holiday Baskets and Sugar Plum volunteer work.  I am working on the Fall Fundraising events which help fund these wonderful programs.

It has been so rewarding being a part of such an incredible organization. It is an honor and a privilege to serve our South Bay Community in so many ways. Sandpipers is a group of amazing women who, with a common mission, to serve our community, have truly done amazing things over the last 76 years.

As this year’s Director of Publicity and Historian, I have the pleasure of spreading the word on what we are doing in the community and for the agencies we serve through our fundraiser's. This is sure to be a great year for Sandpipers and I enjoy making a difference for the people whose lives we touch.

I have been a member of Sandpipers for 5 years.  I love this organization and all the women who do so much to help make our community a better place.  In the past I have chaired Employee Giving, Fashion Show, Social committee and assisted the VP of Membership.  All were great experiences for me.  This year I am overseeing the Fashion Show and For Our Children events as Director of Spring Events.  I am working with wonderful chairs on these committees as well as the Auction committee chairs. I hope to see you at our big spring fundraiser's!

I joined Sandpipers in 2004 when our family moved to the South Bay from the east coast.  Although my goal was to look for a way to give back to the community, I ended up meeting some of my best friends.  This is an incredible organization because of the passion and commitment of the women who are part of it.  As Director of the South Bay Community Fund, I focus on creating a legacy for our donors and volunteers that will go far beyond our current efforts in the community.

This is going on my fourth year volunteering for Sandpipers.  Since joining, I have made wonderful friends and experienced many rewarding moments volunteering in my community.  One of my favorite Sandpipers moments has been working on the Scholarship committee.  It was a wonderful experience knowing that all of our hard work and dedication sent 10 local high school students to college that might not have had the opportunity otherwise.  My current job as Director of Technology has given me the opportunity to help establish this new website.  I hope you find it informative and helpful in learning about our organization.  Enjoy surfing Sandpipers!
